Dear Jo, I am writing to tell you how thrilled I am with Commandos! For the past year and a half I have been dealing with chronic pelvic pain which can be quite debilitating. This is a very misunderstood and often under diagnosed condition. Many women go from physician to physician and do not get any helpful information. Fortunately, this is changing and word is slowly getting out regarding the various causes and symptoms of pelvic pain and it's associated syndromes. In my case, I have had difficulty sitting, widespread pelvic pain and burning nerve like pain that travels throughout my body. It can be life altering. One common symptom for women is hypersensitivity to clothing. We end up wearing very loose clothes like sweat pants. Jeans are not an option. Often times, underwear cannot be worn and even the most delicate seam in pants can be very irritating and painful. Several months ago I discovered Commandos and gave them a try. Since then, I use them daily. The soft cloth covers the seams in my pants and prevents any irritation or discomfort. I know it sounds like such a simple solution. I can tell you that is a great relief to have a product that can prevent discomfort such as nerve pain. Women with pelvic pain spend a lot of money on treatment and products to help with pain, so it was a great relief to me to find something so simple and cost effective that worked. Thanks for your great product, J (40-49) I have vulvodynia, which is actually a pain disorder. Basically, my vulva is very sensitive, and has bad reactions to things, or to stress. It's a really bad condition, and one that most doctors claim is in a women's head, and that it's from her being depressed. Really, it's the vulvodynia that makes us depressed! When I have a flare-up, I have to be on percocet for the pain, and can't go out of my house. Wearing underwear is out of the question- it's too bothersome. When it's bothering me, I can use Commandos, because I feel like it's keeping me clean and fresh, but doesn't go directly against my vulva and so it doesn't irritate me. And I can only use ones made out of cotton too. I have had to change many things in my lift because of this disorder, like my toilet paper, my regular underpants, my soap, even my birth control. It's not a well known problem, and I wish that there was more honest work done with it. It was in an episode of Sex and the City, but they only used the information that said that it was mildly uncomfortable (for me, it's horrible!!), and that it was because she didn't know her vagina and made it depressed.
